Urban and Open Spaces

Looking to substantially reduce their huge costs of daily manual watering and also with water wastage due to the time of day the entire central reservation was watered. The effect of many trees dried the lawns and the circular flower beds which are planted bi annually. The whole area was a problem and difficult to maintain to a satisfactory standard. Not only was the result visually ineffective, it was also swallowing up financial resources.

TfL were delighted with the irrigation solution designed and installed by Watermatic Irrigation. The results were annually recurring savings of thousands of pounds in addition to economical water use. The irrigation system allows them to avoid over watering, and delivers the precise and correct amount of water to the places that need it at the correct times – usually at night to minimize the effects of evaporation.

Park Lane central reservation last summer was wonderful. Lush green grass with healthy displays of colour, and a pleasure for everyone using the road and uplifting the surrounding area.

Pantiles Nursery

Pantiles commissioned Watermatic Irrigation to supply and install an effective and economical solution to irrigate their valuable stock of plants, shrubs and trees on display. This minimized their huge time consuming, water wasting manual watering methods.

Our water irrigation system individually irrigated some potted areas with Netafim drippers along with micro sprays installed for the benches. The project has been a great success.

To help preserve resources, Watermatic Irrigation also supplied and installed a 54,000 liters rain water harvesting tank to capture storm and rainwater. This eco friendly system has helped reduce their water bills and consumption considerably.

New Housing Developments

Octagon Development commissioned Watermatic Irrigation to provide their clients with eco friendly, cost effective automatic watering systems. All plots were individually specified.

By installing the irrigation systems during the initial construction of the houses, we were able to be more labour saving and environmentally efficient in installing their infrastructure at this time.

Having worked with OD for over 2 years, with more projects ongoing, it is obvious of the many advantages for architects and builders to include the capability to harvest rain/grey water at the outset.

OD has also maximized their homes selling potential with the computerised systems increasing the value. The whole development is lush, colorful and inviting. The investment in irrigation is there for all to see.

Complete Water Management System

Every small opportunity for a green space in the most profitable business square mile in the world is part of the City of Londons mission to attract as much new business as possible.

Maintaining attractive lush street scenes are a problem. Creating an inviting atmosphere, their designs and investment in trees, plants and shrubs is substantial. Professional reliable irrigation systems are essential.

Watermatic Irrigation have installed and managed several sites. Despite complexities in some projects, Watermatic Irrigation has installed their infrastructure intermittently during construction with success. Using economical surface or subsurface BioDrip line for root zone watering, along with installed automatic controllers the final results have been a success. The local workers flock to the garden areas to enjoy and relax during their breaks.

Simple solutions were required for small areas of newly constructed raised beds.

Watermatic Irrigation supplied and installed their BioDrip line surface irrigation. This was installed after the planting had been implemented so as to water directly onto the shrub root zone.

Once laid, bark chippings were applied for an attractive appearance as well as minimizing vandalism and weeds and to retain moisture.
